• NVMC Preamble

In March of 2000, due to the absence of a widely-recognized Ford Mustang club in the Northern Virginia area, co-founders Ceece Coburn and Ebby Short reformed the Northern Virginia Mustang Club, originally born in 1965 and disbanded in 1978. Drawing on many great aspects of the former clubs heritage and bringing new features and events, the co-founders reformed as the Northern Virginia Mustang Club, Inc. With family-friendly roots and many great sponsors and activities, the NVMC has brought together Mustang owners and enthusiasts from all corners of the area and beyond, and continues to grow!

Everyone is welcome! We have members from all ages and owners of all makes of Ford Mustangs, so feel free to bring your friends, significant others, and children! Membership is free and its easy to join!

We hold regular monthly meetings where members and guests can share ideas, receive current club information, show their Mustangs, and get details on upcoming NVMC or Mustang related events (cruises, shows, race-events, and more).

Our club hosts and participates in numerous shows and cruises throughout the year, ranging from the very large to the small and casual. We do benefit cruises, scenic and historic-site cruises, benefit shows, local and national shows, parades, performance-shop events, cookouts, and much, much more! Our events are always family friendly, well-organized, and safety-minded, so bring the whole family and come join the fun!

The NVMC also runs performance related events during the spring, summer and fall, including Drag Racing, and Road Racing. Our events are open to amateur and pro alike, and we love to see new faces and help people safely discover the joys of owning a performance vehicle! Whether you like drag racing, road-racing, g-track, learning all about it or just watching with your camera, everyone has a great time! Too many car clubs are born and disbanded due to the poor conduct of its members and due to the dreaded "Street Racing" scene. We are not about street-racing, we are about responsible driving and promote safe racing through controlled events at racing facilities.

If you like meeting people with the same passions, and having fun with your performance vehicle while being a part of an organized club, with dedicated members and staff, the Northern Virginia Mustang Club is for you!

Come check us out at one of our club meetings or events, or visit us in the forum!

I was leaning toward the Ford Performance kit as well. I reckon the next step is to get it ordered. Thanks for the feedback.

I've got the Ford one on my 2018 GT. No problems at all. Both kits will require drilling out a one inch hole in the battery cover for the lower bracket
