View Full Version : What would you like for Christmas for your Mustang?

I was wondering what I could get myself for Christmas for my Mustang. One of the things I thought about was a carbon fiber driveshaft. Another thought was a A-pillar gauge pod with some good gauges. I think I would like a boost gauge and maybe an air/fuel gauge.

Another thing I thought about was some new wheels. I had run into an ad for some interesting wheels but I was told they had been discontinued, also that they cost about $10,000 and that the wheels looked best on Saleens, especially white Saleens. They have a promo for the wheels: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kb3THwZjnHY

Then I thought about getting some "wings". The "wings" go on either side of the car emblem and you can have different things on the wings such as No. Va. on one side and Must. Club on the other. I'm not sure what I would have on the wings but think they would be a nice touch to add to the car.

I have the FRPP Sway Bar Kit, AeroForce Guage, and an UCA on my wish list right now. I am fairly certain (because someone forgot to close out her browser) that I have the Hurst Short Throw on the way.

I did get an early gift for myself earlier in the week. After I sold my LP H pipe, I picked up a set of MRT KR axle backs. They sound brutal. They have a noticable drone between 1900-2100 rpm but if I keep the car around 60 in 6th gear , it is very quiet... so I will concider them a safety device to keep my speed in check on the highway, ha!

Driveshaft sounds like a good idea.

Those wheels on the other hand... I think there is a good reason why they are discontinued.

Just treated myself to a radiator support (http://www.steeda.com/store/2011-up-mustang-lightweight-radiator-support.html) and strut tower brace (http://www.steeda.com/store/steeda-double-bar-strut-tower-brace-for-ford-mustang.html). Took advantage of Xxxxx's black friday deals: got free shipping and a free t-shirt, and saved $80 (~25% off)! Can't beat that :D

All I want is a 2.9L Whipple (plus supporting mods... of course). Then a VA vanity plate that says "whipd 50" LOL

Steeda front and rear adjustable swaybars or Innovators West 10% 6 rib overdrive crank pulley.

I've been dying for 3.73-4.10 gears. 3.31s don't cut it. I would also like to get either the Tokico D-Specs or the Ford racing adjustable shock and strut kit. But I know all that isn't going to happen.

Christmas came early. The Trackey was activated the other day. Will have to save a while for a power adder. Dan

I just finished reading an article where they installed a supercharger on a Boss and it cranked out over 700 hp. But I couldn't help but wonder if it would last at that power level. But a pretty good jump in HP!!!

I treated myself last week with suspension upgrades for the 13 GT500. Lowering Springs, Heavy Duty Upper Strut Mounts, Billet Lower Control Arms, Lower Control Arm Relocation Kit, Adjustable Upper Control Arm, G-Trac Brace, Adjustable Panhard Bar and Brace, and Frame Rail and Torque Box Brace. Ordered the parts last Tuesday from Steeda and they arrived on Friday. Got 20% off and free shipping. Could not complain. Parts get installed this Friday, 30 November at Excessive Motorsports.

As far as what I want for Christmas and in the future. I would like a JLT CAI, matching paint, Ford Racing Twin 65 TB, 10% OD Lower Pulley, 3:73 gears, MGW Short Throw Shifter, a Thump RRR Belt Tensioner, Magnaflow Competition Series Catback Exhaust, and a dyno session with a tune. I do not think this is to much to ask of Santa. So if anyone sees him please pass on my list.

Charlie at BBR told me that he has personally seen a stock 5.0 bottom-end taking about 1124 @ the wheels.

hmmmm I'd like to try and get into road racing next year - I'd be looking for mods to further improve cooling - maybe a new radiator this year or next:)

Considering 3.73 gears or a set of wheels and drag radials or both????

I'm a firm believer that if the choice is too hard, get both. LOL

Will be getting the Roush Axle back for sure, maybe the Barton shifter with the 2 post bracket if I don't spend too much on family gifts. :)

Check some xxxx forums - I see used ones in the classifieds all of the time. Bet you can snag a pretty good deal if you look around.

I agree with Ivan here. I see these things all the time on the xxxx forums. I absolutely love mine, especially now that I've added the Boss 302 H-Pipe /w side exhausts.

Thanks for the tip! Definitely some interesting stuff on the xxxx forums.
Altho most of them think that opening/installing and using something for 5 months only drops the value by $20! lol

Hmmm.... I might like the 3.7 emblem for the front fenders, a better
microphone for the SYNC, a set of the Brembo wheels for the summer
tires (I love those wheels! Got my winter tires on them), and some
tint for the windows (in a tree ...).

Possible temp solution if you have the room.
